The hill there was called the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent out two of his disciples. He said to them,\u00a0<sup>30<\/sup>\u00a0\u201cGo to the village ahead of you. As soon as you get there, you will find a donkey\u2019s colt tied up. No one has ever ridden it. Untie it and bring it here.<sup>31<\/sup>\u00a0Someone may ask you, \u2018Why are you untying it?\u2019 If so, say, \u2018The Lord needs it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>32<\/sup>\u00a0Those who were sent ahead went and found the young donkey. It was there just as Jesus had told them.\u00a0<sup>33<\/sup>\u00a0They were untying the colt when its owners came. The owners asked them, \u201cWhy are you untying the colt?\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>34<\/sup>\u00a0They replied, \u201cThe Lord needs it.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>35<\/sup>\u00a0Then the disciples brought the colt to Jesus. They threw their coats on the young donkey and put Jesus on it.\u00a0<sup>36<\/sup>\u00a0As he went along, people spread their coats on the road.<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>37<\/sup>\u00a0Jesus came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives. There the whole crowd of disciples began to praise God with joy. In loud voices they praised him for all the miracles they had seen. They shouted,<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>38<\/sup>\u00a0\u201cBlessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cMay there be peace and glory in the highest heaven!\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>39<\/sup>\u00a0Some of the Pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus. \u201cTeacher,\u201d they said, \u201ctell your disciples to stop!\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><sup>40<\/sup>\u00a0\u201cI tell you,\u201d he replied, \u201cif they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"passage-read-more\">Read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke%2019:29-40&#038;version=NIRV\" title=\"Read the passage on BibleGateway.com\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"hyperlink-underlined\">Luke 19:29-40<\/a> in context and\/or in other translations on BibleGateway.com!<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><p>In this journal entry, Camden and Suzie discuss Jesus\u2019 triumphal entry into Jerusalem and some of the specific details that Luke\u2019s gospel gives us into this event.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"aj-post-question\"><span>Cam&#8217;s Insights:<\/span> Cam thinks that the Pharisees are jealous of Jesus\u2019 popularity at this specific time because Jesus\u2019 entry into Jerusalem was competing with their pre-Passover lamb processional.<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"aj-post-question\"><span>Suzie&#8217;s Insights:<\/span> Suzie wonders aloud how strange the disciples request to take the donkey would have sounded if it happened in today\u2019s culture.
